E-PORTAL : Login Performance Issue Occurs if the Homepage Tile is created from Content Reference Link that is created from Content Reference Link (Doc ID 2819132.1)

Symptoms

Users are seeing performance issue with Login process if the Homepage Tile is created using Content Reference Link that is created from Content Reference Link.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1) Create a CREF Link to another CREF using the Create Link hyperlink. The Target Information NAME field will be automatically populated with the target CREF name.

a. Go to PeopleTools > portal > structure and content > Fluid Structure and content

b. Open any content reference and click content reference link

c. Click “Create Link”

The Target Information NAME field will be automatically populated with the target CREF name

2) Create another CREF link based on the Link created in step 1).

3) Again, the Target Information NAME field will be populated but this time it be to the CREF Link in Step1)

Whereas that is correct but it is invalid as links do not appear in the Name prompt (ps_psprsmcref_vw)

3) Even though the Name field value is invalid it will still allow you to save.
