Student Financial Planning (SFP): SAFI not Reporting Expected <EnrollmentStatus> Value of 'W' for Discontinued Students (Doc ID 2819263.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 11, 2021

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running Process SFP Messages for the Student Academic and Fin Info (SAFI) message class, the <EnrollmentStatus> tag is not being reported correctly for Discontinued students. The expectation for these students is they should be reported with <EnrollmentStatus> of 'W', same as a Withdrawn student, but instead the field is reported with a value such as 'F' or 'L' that makes it appear the student is still active.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Discontinue a student on the Program/Plan stack: Records and Enrollment > Career and Program Information > Student Program/Plan > Student Program.
  2. Navigate to Campus Community > Student Fin Planning Interface > Process SFP Messages.
  3. Populate the parameters, including Student Academic and Fin Info in the Message Class field.
  4. Run the process.
  5. Review the .XML file produced and locate the information for the student in step 1.
