GPCHE Payment After Termination Incorrect Calculation Of Source Tax Lookup (Doc ID 2820055.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 09, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Global Payroll Switzerland - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

From 2021, only the amounts earned in current contract will be considered for calculating the source tax. In case of yearly adjustment, if an employee has been TER and REH in 2021, the amounts received in terminated contract will not be
considered for the new contract calculation.

This new change means that the YTD accumulators for these calculations should consider the Hire Date. Currently some of the accumulators used for calculating the source tax has not the Hire Date as user key.

The first approach was to initialize some accumulators to 0, however we lose the YTD values.

In current approach we keep the first approach philosophy but creating some new YTD accumulators with the Hire Date as user key. In longer term, the YTD accumulators could be replaced by the new YTD CP accumulators:

[AC] CH_TX_00_YTD >> TX AC WRK D YTDCP
[AC] CH_TX_02_YTD >> TX AC STX BS YTDCP
[AC] CH_TX_12_YTD >> TX AC OTH YTDCP
[AC] CH_TX_LUP_YTD >> TX AC LUP YTDCP
Apart of that, some new variables have been created for make easier to follow the flow of the formula.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Workforce Administration > Job Information > Job Data
2. Search for an Employee
3. Terminate and Rehire the employee in the same year 2021
