Incorrect SSN Format Showing on ISIR Suspense After Running Import Federal Data Files (FA Inbound) (Doc ID 2822863.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 19, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

A record on the ISIR Suspense Page shows a student's data with an incorrect SSN format.  The SSN is displayed as 9-X9-9999 instead of the expected format of 999-99-9999. Subsequently, the ISIR Load Process will end in error when it tries to process the student.

The issue will likely affect only a single record, or small number. As an example, in one case, the problem was seen only with one file containing three records, and only one of those records loaded with the incorrect SSN format. For the record that loaded incorrectly, the flat file was verified to contain the correct SSN for the student.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid, File Management, ISIR Import, 20xx-20yy Suspense Management, ISIR Suspense Management xx/yy;
  2. Select the EC Queue number of the batch;
  3. Review the student's record, and note the incorrectly formatted SSN value.
