Last updated on AUGUST 22, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.58 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Application Designer/psqed.exe, Go menu, Query Tool, when trying to add manually table joins to the new/existing queries the 'Belongs to' selection for Left Outer joins is removed. This can be noticed in the "Criteria" tab which shows the 'Belongs to' property empty.

The same issue does not occur in PIA (web application).

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Open Application Designer by going to %ps_home%\bin\client\winx86\pside.exe
2. Select 'Go' menu
3. Go to Query
4. Select File > New to create a new Query
5. For example, add the VOUCHER record and use Left Outer Join to join the VOUCHER_LN record
6. Manually add the table joins selecting ‘B’ in the ‘Belongs To’
7. When you click on the fields tab the ‘Belongs To’ selection is removed.
