Unable To Backdate the Previous Amendment Transaction Date, Saving a New Amendment Displays Error: "Asset has a cost history with a future transaction date. Please choose a trans date after YYYY-MM-DD. (8010, 38)(0,0)"

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create / Activate a Lease and Calculate the Depreciation
Navigation: Lease Administration > Payables Leases > Create New Payables Lease
Navigation: Asset Management > Depreciation > Processing > Calculate Depreciation
2. Create an Amendment that adjusts the Leased Asset Cost and Calculate the Depreciation
Navigation: Lease Administration > Payables Leases > Maintain Payables Lease
3. Create a new Amendment to Extend the Lease term using a Transaction Date prior to the previous Amendment Transaction Date
4. While saving/activating the Amendment, the following error messages are displayed as a popup:
