Emplid in URL Drilling Link Get Overridden By Carry Id Function (Doc ID 2827579.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 12, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Campus Community - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When Carry Id functionality is turned on in user defaults PS Query drilling URLs and custom reports with drilling URLs will not open the data for additional emplids. The drilling URL will works fine for the fist student, it will not being back data for any subsequent students  Since the id being passed is part of the URL the user expects the page to open to the data for the student in the URL, instead the last emplid accessed will always appear to open due to Carry Id function.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a query with PSQuery.
2 Include EMPLID in output.
3 Create a drilling URL expression and link it to the EMPLID field.
4 Run Query.
5 Click on EMPLID link for a student and the link works correctly.
6 Go back to Query results and choose another student.
7 The link brings you to 1st student, not the correct student chosen.

Changes

This behavior has been consistent since 9.2 was made generally available.
