Expedite Requisitions PV_PO_CREATE System Created Run Control From Using the Submit Button Is Being Written Each Time to the PRCSRUNCNTL Record (Doc ID 2830448.1)

Last updated on MARCH 06, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM eProcurement - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The PV_PO_CREATE system created run control, from using the Submit button on Expedite Requisitions page, is being written to the PRCSRUNCNTL record, every time the process is launched from the Submit button. (eProcurement>Buyer Center>Expedite Requisitions)

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Run the PV_PO_CREATE process from the PV_PO_REQ_SOURCE page (Expedite Requisitions page) using the submit button. There will be a system generated run control created each time you run the process (e.g.PV_EXP:2021-08-05:13.21.4559).

2. Then when running for example the Requisition Budget checking process via a manually established run control (eProcurement > Buyer Center > Procurement Processes > Requisition Budget Checking) , all of the system generated run controls show up on the run control search page.

3. This is problematic because many users have hundreds of the system generated run controls that show up in their search. We can see hundreds of run controls created by the system for every launch of the Expedite Requisitions process ( PV_PO_CREATE process) , from the Expedite Requisition page.
