Symptoms

Create a custom search definition based on a simple connected query. The search definition deploys successfully. However, when you try to build the index by navigating to:

PeopleTools > Search Definition > Administration > Schedule Search Index

The below error occurs:

The connected query returns results if run from Query Manager.
