SAIP: Class Drop Timestamp Does Not Flow Through to Third Party Processors When the "Drop If Enroll" Option Is Used When Enrolling (Doc ID 2835346.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 13, 2023

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS SA Integration Pack - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a student enrolls in a class, and uses the 'Drop if Enroll' field, the class that is dropped does not get the timestamp updated in the SAE_ENRL_EXT table.  Therefore the timestamp is not updated in the SAE_ENRL_VW table which consequently doesn't get picked up as a drop in the incremental files.

It is expected the dropped Classes should have timestamp updated in SAE_ENRL_EXT table in order to get synced to a third party Learning Management System (LMS).

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Navigation:  Set Up SACR > Product Related > SA Integration Pack

  1. Set up SAIP for an LMS

Navigation: Records and Enrollment > Enroll Students > Enrollment Request

  1. Perform the student's enrollment, Use "Drop if Enroll' field to drop an existing enrolled.

Navigation: SA Integration Pack > Bulk Data Exchange > Run Bulk Data Exchange

  1. Run the incremental snapshot process.
