Academic Plan User Security Does Not Provide Ability To Exclude Some Plans From the ALL Academic Plan Setting. (Doc ID 2837300.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 28, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Records - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When setting up Academic Plan Security for individual User IDs, the page allow you to add 'All Access' (ALL) with Read/Write Access but then also allows you to add individual plans to the page with Access Code 'No Access'. This suggests that access will be provided to All plans, excluding the ones entered on the page with 'No Access' flagged. However, in practice, the function still allows access to all plans for a user with this combination of academic plan security.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. User has access to ALL Academic Plans with Read/Write Access.
  2. User can still select the plans where 'No Access' has been added via academic plan prompts. Navigation:Setup SACR=>Security=>Secure Student Administration=>User ID=>Academic Plan Security.
