GP UK: Auto-Enrollment For Employees Of State Pension Age (66 Years) Are Not Able to Opt-In Back Into the Pension

Symptoms
The system is not allowing an employee of State Pension Age to Opt-In back into the Pension after being Deferred in previous Payroll Calendar.
The employee was recently rehired and in his first Payroll week a POSTPONEMENT Pension Event entry was created in his Assign Pension GBR page.
He has since decided to Opt-In to the Pension scheme and received notification from the Pension provider.
When modifying the information on Assign Scheme GBR page, enabled the Payee Override Opt-In checkbox and changed the relevant dates on the POSTPONEMENT Pension Event, an Assessment Pension Event was created with an Applicant Status of "NOT-ENROLLED - AGE NOT ELIGIBLE".
Steps to replicate the issue:
1. Navigate to Global Payroll and Absence Mgmt> Absence and Payroll Processing> Calculate Absence and Payroll
->Create some Time and Labor data for the next Payroll Calendar
->The calendar Period is Saturday through to Friday
->Standard Shift units and rate
->Overtime Shift units and rate
->Identify and Calculate Payroll for the calendar.
2. Navigate to Global Payroll and Absence Mgmt > Payslips > Review Payslip/Results GBR > Rvw Admin Payslip/Results GBR Review
->Check Payslip results.
->Note, no pension deduction.
3. Navigate to Global Payroll and Absence Mgmt > Payee Data > Pension Information > Assign Scheme GBR > Assign Scheme GBR
->Add an Opt-In Payee Override for the Operative
->Add in the Pension Scheme.
->Change the Pension Event Deferment Date, Pay Reference Start Date, and Pay Reference End Date.
4. Navigate to Global Payroll and Absence Mgmt > Absence and Payroll Processing > Pension Auto Enrollment GBR Auto Pension Enrollment GBR
->Run Pension Auto-Enrolment process for Operative 047119. Note leave Final checkbox unticked.
->Review Process Output files
->Re-Run Pension Auto-Enrolment process for the Operative with Final checkbox now ticked.
->Review Process Output files
5. Navigate to Set Up HCM > Product Related > Global Payroll and Absence Mgmt > Pensions > Define Pension Scheme GBR > Define Pension Scheme GBR
->Add a new Pension Event for Enrolment with Effective Date (today).
->Event ID = Enrolment
->Applicant Status = Enrolled as Non-Eligible Job Holder
->Calendar Group ID = (Qualifying Earning field is populated on the selection of Calendar Group ID)
6. Navigate to Set Up HCM > Product Related > Global Payroll and Absence Mgmt > Pensions > Qualifying Pension Scheme GBR > Qualifying Pension Scheme GBR
->Work Deferment has been set at 13 weeks
7. Navigate to Global Payroll and Absence Mgmt > Payee Data > Pension Information > Assign Scheme GBR > Assign Scheme GBR
->New Pension Event, Assessment, created by the previous process.
