Students Are Able To Enroll In Classes With A Time Conflict (Doc ID 2847933.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 08, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Records - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Students are able to enroll in classes with time conflicts when drop-if-enroll ends up in a waitlist scenario and the subsequent class enrollment completes successfully (creating a time conflict).

Create two classes with conflicting times/meeting pattern.
- student is enrolled in class 1.
- an enrollment request is submitted with 2 rows:
  1) The 'Drop This Class if Enrolled' functionality is used to drop class 1 if the student is enrolled in class 2. Class 2 is full, so the student is placed on the waitlist while still remaining enrolled in class 1.
  2) Enrolls the student in class 3 which has a time conflict with class 1.
