The New Jersey Employer Payroll Tax Electronic Filing and Reporting Options for W-2 filing had errors occur when choosing (b)Online Upload Service used for Companies reporting only a small number of W-2s for Employees electronically.
The messages returned stated:
Invalid Terminating character encountered at line number 1, the last character is expected to be "#".
Invalid Terminating character encountered at line number 2, the last character is expected to be "#".
Invalid Terminating character encountered at line number 3, the last character is expected to be "#".
