Symptoms

Employees are getting paid with Earnings even when Earning begin date is earlier than the respective Hire date.  The system is not producing errors like it does when Time and Labor data has earnings begin dates earlier than hire dates.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create a New Hire and set Earning begin date earlier than Hire date.
    • Set up HCM -> Product Related -> Payroll for North America -> Compensation and Earnings -> Earnings Table
  2. Run Create Paysheets process.
    • Main Menu -> Payroll for North America -> Payroll Processing USA -> Create and Load Paysheets -> Create Paysheets
