Symptoms

When attempting to execute PeopleSoft DPK setup script on Oracle Linux 8 and RHEL 8, the following error occurs.

Error seen on screen:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Download the PeopleTools/PUM DPK.
2. Initiate the deployment as a root user.
3. See the error when "sh psft-dpk-setup.sh" is executed (even with parameters if required)
