Symptoms

For a VAT exempt BU, AM_AMAEDIST process failed with unique constrain error, where asset has negative cost and asset is disposed using disposal worksheet.

Steps

1) Change the AM BU VAT setup using VAT Applicable to Exempt and VAT Calculation Type to Inclusive.
     Navigation : Main Menu > Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Business Unit Related > Asset Management > Asset Management Definition

2) Create asset via express add with cost -0.01
     Navigation : Main menu > Asset Management > Asset transactions > Owned Assets > Express Add.

3) Run Depreciation Calculation
    Navigation : Main menu > Asset Management > Depreciation > Processing > Calculate Depreciation.

4) Use Disposable Worksheet to dispose the asset using Disposal Code Scrapped Asset.
    Navigation : Main menu > Asset Management > Asset transactions > Asset Disposal > Disposal Worksheet .

5) Run Load to AM
    Navigation : Main menu > Asset Management >Send / Receive Information > Interface Transactions > Load into AM.

6) Run Depreciation Calculation
    Navigation : Main menu > Asset Management > Depreciation > Processing > Calculate Depreciation.

7) Run Create Accounting Entries - process run to no success with unique constraints.
    Navigation : Main Menu > Asset Management > Accounting Entries > Create Accounting entries.
