Symptoms

Users receive a PeopleCode error when adding new row on Academic Item Registry (AIR) items

If you add a new EFFDT row on an AIR item that is not a COURSE and has security "available to all academic organizations", a PeopleCode error occurs.

First operand of . is Null, so cannot access member ActiveRowCount. (180,236)

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Curriculum Management > Academic Item Registry > Academic Item Registry (AIR)
  2. Open an Item ID
  3. In the Security Tab, select radio button, Grant access to selected Academic Organizations
  4. Add an Acad Org
  5. Attempt to add a new row for Academic Item ID
  6. Notice the error.
