EEX 9.2: Save Changes Messages Erroneously Displayed During Fluid Approvals on Expense Report for Approver With View Only Permission (Doc ID 2854795.1)

The Business is only allowing Approvers to perform approval actions while reviewing submitted Expense Reports, (Approve, Deny, Hold, Send Back For Revision). The associated Privilege Templates have been defined as View Only during approvals.

However, with that in place, Approver Users are still getting a Messages that the changes have been saved, or need to be saved, when navigating through the Fluid Approvals Expense Report pages:

    a.- Clicking on DONE button after reviewing Attachments, or Per Diem details, triggers an automatic save of the transaction, even though no changes have been performed
    b.- Clicking on the APPROVE back button from the Fluid Expense Summary page triggers an Error Message asking User if changes need to be saved, even though none have been done

This seems to be an issue for Expense Report transactions belonging to VAT enabled Business Units.


    1.- Enable HR Supervisor approval level at the Transaction Definition set up page for Expense Reports
    2.- Define a new Privilege Template for Expense Reports, and HR Supervisor, where all actions are View Only
    3.- Link the newly created Privilege Template to the Approver Profile for the HR Supervisor
    4.- Log into the FSCM Online Application as an Expenses Employee
    5.- Create an Expense Report for an Employee belonging to a VAT enabled Business Unit, and submit it for approval
    6.- Log into the FSCM Online Application as an Expenses HR Supervisor
    7.- Go to the Employee Self Service Fluid Homepage
    8.- Click on Approvals Tile
    9.- At the Pending Approvals page, select a submitted Expense Report
    10.- On the Fluid Expense Report main page, click on the 'Expense Details' link
    11.- At the Fluid Expense Summary page, click on the View Details button
    12.- At the Fluid Expense Entry page, click on the Attach Receipt button (If Expense Type is PerDiem, one can also click on the Per Diem related button)
    13.- Review the Attachments pop up page, and then click on Done button (If Expense Type is PerDiem, and the Per Diem related button was clicked, review and click on Done button)
    14.- ISSUE #1: At this stage, the system quickly performed an auto-save, and displays a pop up message
    15.- Back at the Fluid Expense Entry page, click on the 'Expense Summary' button at the top left hand side of the screen
    16.- At the Fluid Expense Summary page, click on the 'Approval' back button at the top left hand side of the screen
    17.- ISSUE #2: The system throws a Message asking to save changes
