Last updated on MAY 08, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Global Payroll Malaysia - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If an Employee’s age is above 60, Regular Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Gross < RM5000 and (Regular + Bonus EPF Gross) >=5000, in such cases, the Total is not rounding to next 100 before calculating the percentage.

Example:

Regular EPF Gross = 2786, Bonus = 4263, Total = 7049

7049 ~ 7100, 7100 X 4% = 284 (expected)

Below is the current PeopleSoft calculation

7049 X 4% = 281.96 ~ 282 (PeopleSoft)

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Ensure the Payee have Regular EFP Gross < 5000

2. Navigate to Global Payroll & Absence Management > Payee Data > Assign Earnings and Deductions > One Time (Positive Input), Add Bonus amount so that Bonus + regular Gross should be > 5000

3. Navigate to Global Payroll & Absence Management > Absence and Payroll Processing > Calculate Absence and Payroll, Process payroll.

4. Navigate to Global Payroll & Absence Management > Absence and Payroll Processing > Review Absence and Payroll Info > Results by Calendar group, Observe that the rounding is not happening to next 100 while calculating EPF DD ER
