E-AWE: Generic Template Email Address is Set to 'Sender = System' but when Submitting Requisition Approvals, the Notification is Using the Requestor's OPRID (Doc ID 2859355.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading from PeopleTools (PT) 8.57.20 to PT 8.59.07, the Generic Template has been set up for Sender = System. However, when Requisition approval notification emails are sent, the FROM field, which should be the requestors' email address, is instead showing his/her User ID/OPRID. This was working fine prior to the upgrade. In spite of this, the email is still sent and received successfully.

Sample environment:

PeopleTools 8.59.07
FSCM 9.2 PUM 33

Replication Steps:

1. Navigate to People Tools > Workflow > Notifications > Generic Templates.
2. Search for 'Requisition Line Approval'.
3. Update the Generic Template and set the Sender field to 'System'.
4. Save.
5. Create and submit a new Requisition for Approval.
6. Review resulting email.

 

The smtp.log shows the following relevant details:
