Symptoms
Loan acceptance is required for the loans to show as anticipated aid. When additional loan funds are awarded, the fund acceptance status goes to 'Pending Additional Acceptance'. Because it is no longer in 'Accepted' status, the entire amount of the loan is removed from anticipated aid. SFP still shows the original amount that was accepted and that should still be sent as anticipated aid even though there are additional funds pending acceptance.
Loan changes are occurring frequently as students receive outside scholarships, and loan eligibility shifts from sub to unsub e.g., when students advance grade levels and in the case of a PLUS denial.
Example: The system awards 5500 to the student: Fall 2750 and Spring 2750. Then, when a SAFI comes in that advances their grade level for Spring, the Spring award can move from 2750 to 3750. The student had already accepted the 2750, but PeopleSoft is only looking at the “FundAcceptanceStatus” of 'Accepted' and not evaluating the 'Pending Additional Acceptance' code. Customer would like that 2750 that was previously accepted as anticipated aid.
