EGL:Cut Off Date Update Across Ledgers In The Same Ledger Group Is Not Working As Expected (Doc ID 2866196.1)

Last updated on JUNE 22, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN General Ledger - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Cut off date update across ledgers in the same ledger group is not working as expected. When updating cut-offs or dates on the LOCAL ledger, the update is not synchronised to the other ledgers in the Ledger Group despite the ‘Copy to Other Ledgers in the Ledger Group’ is ticked and greyed out. The synchronise only works when creating the BU but not when updating.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to: Main Menu - General Ledger - Ledgers - Define Ledger Group
Find an Existing Value: Set id = SHARE ; Ledger = RECORDING
Make sure you have more then one ledger in the ledger group Recording
2. Navigate to: Main Menu -Setup Financial /Supply Chain-Common Definition –
Journals – Journal Source Security – Period End cutoff Schedule.
2. Search in Find and existing tab
Ledger Group = RECORDING
Ledger = LOCAL
Fiscal Year = 2023
3.Update Cutoff days as 3 for WF source an update the Period2 date as Current
Date and save. Select the checkbox: Copy to Other Ledgers in Ledger Group
4.It should be updated for other Ledgers of this Ledger Group while Copy to other Ledgers in Ledger Group check box is checked. But the synchronisation only works when creating the BU but not when updating.

Please find attached the replication steps.
