EAM: Inflation Calculation Process (AMDPINFL) Fails With "Error on line 2029" Division by zero Error When Processing Cost Adjustment Transaction in Argentina Localization (Doc ID 2867254.1)

Symptoms

Asset Management Inflation Process (AMDPINFL) Errors - Divide By 0 when adding an asset and a cost adjustment during the same period.

 

Steps:

    1. Add a new asset for ARS(Currency) 1,000. Transaction Date and Accounting date = '01/JAN/19'. (Navigation: Asset management > Asset Transactions > Basic Add)

    2. Run depreciation calculation process.(Navigation: Asset management > Depreciation > Processing)

    3. Run Accounting Entries process.(Navigation: Asset Management > Accounting Entries > Create Accounting Entries)

    4. Add a cost adjustment for ARS 20,000. Transaction Date and Accounting date = '10/JAN/19' (same period as addition). (Navigation: Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Financial Transactions > Cost Adjust/Transfer Asset)

    5. Run depreciation calculation process. (Navigation: Asset management > Depreciation > Processing)

    6. Run Accounting Entries process. (Navigation: Asset management > Depreciation > Processing)

    7. Run Close Depreciation process for Jan19. (Navigation: Main Menu > Asset Management > Accounting Entries >Close Depreciation)

    8. Run Inflation Adjustment for Jan19. (Navigation: Asset Management > Accounting Entries > Calculate Inflation) -  "Division by zero" error occurs.
