Goal

The new Notification Framework has been implemented in PeopleTools (PT) 8.58 and FSCM 9.2 PUM 38, as documented in Doc ID 2732816.1. However, when customers upgrade directly from PT 8.57 to 8.59.07, and choose to remain at a certain PUM level insted of upgrading fully to PUM 43 (current image at the time of this writing), many bug fixes are skipped. As a result, they encounter several approval email notifications issues, or email notifications do not work at all.

What Bugs and fixes need to be applied, so they can uptake the new Notifications Framework in PT 8.59, and avoid email notification issues?
