Symptoms

When attempting to run Common Origination and Disbursement Inbound (CODIN) to load Pell disbursement response files, an error occurs in the FAPCODIN step, with the following messages displayed in the log file:

The text as shown is followed by additional messaging, including the full FAPPLINB_I_DISBMNT SQL statement that is failing, showing the list of 65 bind variables the program is attempting to insert into the PS_PELL_DISBMNT table, and multiple references to 'at pos 01448'.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > File Management > COD Full Participant > Import COD Response Data > Common Origination and Disbursement Inbound and run the process.
  2. Click link to Process Monitor and note when the process finishes in error status.
  3. Click the CODIN link to access the two steps of the process.
  4. Click the FAPCODIN link to access the information for that step.
  5. Click the link that says 'View Log/Trace, then click into the COBOL .log file in the file list, and note the error(s) in the log.

Changes
