When attempting to use the FLUID class search 'Additional ways to search' option, and special characters in the Catalog number, a variety of errors occur after clicking the search button, depending on the characters:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Click on Manage Classes tile on Student Homepage
  2. Click 'Class Search and Enroll' in left navigation.
  3. Click 'Additional ways to search' link.
  4. Enter the characters ~, ', \ (one at a time) in the Catalog Number field, then click 'search' box and note the errors displayed on the page.
