SAFI Not Properly Indicating When Courses Should be Used in SAP Calculation in Student Financial Planning (SFP) (Doc ID 2881976.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 02, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Campus Community - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running Process SFP Messages, with the Message Class 'Student Academic and Fin Info' (SAFI), some of the courses sent in the SAFI are negatively impacting the calculation for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) in the SFP system. For example, the classes end up included in the SAP calculation, when they should be excluded.

It's expected that the SAFI should be able to properly indicate whether or not the courses should be used for SAP in SFP.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Campus Community > Student Fin Planning Interface > Process SFP Messages.
  2. Populate the parameters, including the Message Class 'Student Academic and Fin Info' (SAFI).
  3. Run the process.
  4. Review the results in the SFP system. (Note, the specific steps to take in SFP lie outside the scope of this article, which is focused on the functionality in Campus Solutions.)
