Sometimes there are Expense Report transactions that have gone through approvals and budget checking, and Post Liabilities has been run to generate the EXAccrual Accounting Entries, however, for whatever valid business reason, the transaction is deemed no longer needed, and chosen for closure.

How would the expensed amount booked against the Budget Definition be released? What steps need to be followed?
