Last updated on AUGUST 02, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN General Ledger - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using ACCOUNT_CF Excel to CI to create a new account, the system is not checking the maximum allowed limit of Chartfield from Standard Configuration for account, allowing the user to enter a value with more characters than it is setup into the system.

Issue can be replicated by following the next steps :

1.Check the setup on Standard Configuration (Set Up Financials/Supply Chain>Common Definitions>   Design ChartFields >Define Standard Config and notice that the allowed length for account is 10 .

2.Change the length to 6 and save and click on Configure button and run the FS_CFCONFIG process

3.Go to Setup Fin>Common Definition >Design Chartfields>Define Values >Define Chartfield Value> Account and try to add a value for account with more than 6 characters in PSFT : -not allowed

4.Try to create a new account with Excel to CI| ACCOUNT_CF

5.Enter data in Data input tab – account value=12345678

6.Click on Add-ins and Stage Data for Submission

7.Choose Submit Data and enter user and password VP1

8.Status OK

9.Go and search for the value in PSFT and notice that is has been uploaded, not taking into consideration the limit setup in Standard Configuration!

Check the replication document attached.
