EAM: Load into AM (AMIF 1000) Is Not Creating Asset Record Entries When There Is a Tag Error in the Interface (Doc ID 2889145.1)

Symptoms

AMIF1000 process is not creating asset record (PS_ASSET) entries when there is an error in interface. It creates entries in LOCATION,CUSTODIAN,ACQUISITION records but misses entry in ASSET record.

Steps:


   1) Do not allow duplicate tags - ensure "Allow duplicate tag numbers" is unchecked at Asset Management Definition page > AM Business Unit Definition tab.
Navigation ( Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Business Unit Related > Asset Management > Asset Management Definition)

   2) Create 2 PO’s (PO1 - 2 lines and PO2 - 1 line) with receiving required and has an asset profile. Uncheck Capitalize.
Navigation ( Purchasing > Purchase Orders > Add/Update POs)

   3) Create receipts for the above PO’s and assign tag ids.
Navigation ( Purchasing > Receipts > Add/Update Receipts)

Receipt id#1 line#2 has the same tag as the Receipt id#2 line#1.

   4) Run receiver interface push.
Navigation (Purchasing > Receipts > Process Receipts)

   5) Run AP/AM interface process.
Navigation (Asset Management > Send/Receive Information > Retrieve Info from AP/PO)

   6) Review the interface lines in AM.

   7) Run AMIF1000 process.
Navigation (Asset Management > Send/Receive Information > Interface Transactions > Load into AM)

   8) Review the interface lines:
Navigation (Asset ManagementSend/Receive InformationInterface TransactionsReview Interface Transactions)

- 2 asset transactions are in error due to duplicate tag# as expected and the asset_id remained as 'NEXT;
