Direct Loan Outbound (DLOUT) Fails to Generate Due to Validation Error DLOVL015 - 'Disb Date < Loan Period Start Date (-10 days)' (Doc ID 2890116.1)

Symptoms

When running DLOUT, one or more loan records are not being generated in the file to be sent to COD. The record(s) is subsequently identified to be failing loan validation with the edit DLOVL015 - 'Disb Date < Loan Period Start Date (-10 days)'.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > File Management > COD Full Participant > Generate Direct Loan Data > Direct Loan Outbound and run the process.
  2. Navigate to Financial Aid > Loans > Direct Lending Management > View Loan Processing Actions > Direct Loan Orig Actions, for any student not being processed as expected.
  3. Note the action status 'failed rule' on the most recent row, and click into the 'msg' link to see the details on the failed validation edit(s).
