EGM 9.2 : Grant Project Activity Name Populated Incorrectly With Project Description (Doc ID 2894409.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 13, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Grants - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

For a grants project, the Activity Name is populated incorrectly with project description.

Replication Steps:

  1. Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Install > Installation Options - Grants. Enter the Default budget as "BUD".
  2. Set Up Financials/Supply Chain >Product Related >Grants > Setup Grants Budget Types - Create a new Budget Type of 'BUD' and then the description "Budget".
  3. Grants> Proposals >Maintain Proposal. Create a proposal. The Budget ID on the budget tab gets populated. The description is blank. This is incorrect. The expectation is to have the description populated from #2 which is "Budget".
  4. Submit a proposal and generate an award.
  5. Go to Grants > Awards > Update Project Activity. Open the activity BUD for the related project associated with the proposal. Notice that the Activity Description is the same as Project Description. The expectation is that it gets a value of "Budget" as noted in step #2. If the Budget description is modified in the proposal, then that value should be shown as an activity description
