Symptoms

While updating a Position that has an incumbent, a new row being added, 'Update Incumbents' value set to Yes and then the changes being submitted, an error is being triggered:

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Login to PeopleSoft HCM
  2. Go to: Workforce Administrator Homepage > Position Management Homepage > Manage Position Tile
  3. Find a Position with and incumbent.
  4. Click Add New Row
  5. It opens the Activity Guide, navigate through the steps 1, 2, 3, where no action is needed.
  6. Click Next to step 4, the incumbents are listed, make sure the flag 'Update Incumbents' is set to Yes, then click Next
  7. In Step 5 review the changes then click Submit.
  8. After submitting and confirming you want to send the changes, the error message is displayed.
