EAP: Warning Message "Supplier has been set to withholding but withholding information not provided" When Saving a Supplier with a New Withholding Setup (Doc ID 2898317.1)

Symptoms

After defining withholding setup for supplier, warning message is received when saving the Supplier.

 

STEPS

1. Create a new withholding account for W-8
2. Create a new withholding rule called W-8.
  - Keep the Define minimum and maximum basis amount as it is by default
  - Define 30% as withholding
  - Navigation: Main Menu > Set UP FSCM >Product related > Procurement options > Withholding > Rules
3. Create Withholding Type and classes.Create a new Type as TEST
  - Navigation: Main Menu > Set Up FSCM > Product Related > Procurement options > Withholding >Types and Classes
4. For withholding type TEST, create jurisdiction
  - Navigation: Main Menu > Set UP FSCM >Product related > Procurement options > Withholding > Jurisdictions
5. For withholding type TEST define Business Unit categories as none
  - Navigation: Main Menu > Set UP FSCM >Product related > Procurement options > Withholding > Business Unit Categories
6. Create Vendor category for TEST withholding
  - Navigation: Main Menu > Set UP FSCM >Product related > Procurement options > Withholding >Supplier categories
7. Create a Withholding entity W-8WH
  - Navigation: Main Menu > Set UP FSCM >Product related > Procurement options > Withholding > Withhold entities
8. In the procurement control page for MDC01 add a row to map the withholding entity , Type , Jurisdiction etc, with a new effective date
  - Navigation: Main menu > Set up FSCM > BU related > Procurement > Procurement Control
9. Click CF link and Define the withholding account which will be credited for withholding
10. Check the Withholding check box for the existing vendor selected
11. On the location page click 1099 and type the values for testing.
12. When clicking Save, the Warning message is returned:
  - "Supplier has been set to withholding but withholding information not provided"
