Symptoms

Items not found in Search results after running Incremental Index

Note: In the Replication Steps, User Details / Company Names / Addresses / Emails / Telephone Numbers / Etc. are fictitious (based upon made-up data used in the Oracle DEMO Environments), any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
       1. Navigate : Items > Define Items and Attributes > Purchasing Attributes
       2. Enter Item ID 10099
       3. Inactivate Vendor ID SCM0000002
       4. Save
       5. Run Search Index EP_PV_MASTERITEMVENDOR_SD with Full Index Option
       6. Navigate : Items > Define Items and Attributes > Define Item
       7. Enter Item ID 10099
       8. Click Purchasing Attributes
       9. Inactivate the other vendor SCM0000003
       10. Save
       11. Navigate : Items > Define Items and Attributes > Define Item
       12. Enter Item ID 10099
       13. Click Purchasing Attributes
       14. Activate the vendor SCM0000003
       15. Save
       16. Run the Query
              SELECT * FROM PS_PV_ITEMVNDR_STG where inv_item_id ='10099' ORDER BY LASTSESUPD_DTTM DESC;
              PV_SES_ACTION updated to “D” for both vendors. This is the root cause
       17. Navigate : PeopleTools > Search Framework > Administration > Schedule Search Indexes
              Run Increment Index for EP_PV_MASTERITEMVENDOR_SD
       18. Navigate : eProcurement > Create Requisition
              Search Item 10099
       Issue : No search results found for "10099".
