Student Account Balance Not Getting Updated (Doc ID 2900028.1)

New payments posted to one specific account type, account term will not reduce the account balance in the account for some students.

We find the balance does update on those students if we post the same payment item type to the same account type but to other terms in the students account and if we post that item type to other accounts in the same term.  
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Student Financials > Charges and Payments >Student Post.
  2. Post any payment Item type to the account type/term  in question and see the students balance down not reduce.
