E-IB: Pinging a Load Balanced Gateway Returns "The connection for this site is not secure" Error (Doc ID 2902147.1)

Symptoms

 

Site has a load balancer (LB) in front of the Integration Broker (IB) physical gateway web servers.

When pinging the gateway the top-most error below is seen in the browser window.

Opening an https://<LB>:<port> URL in a browser returns the errors farther down.

 

ERRORS

Error #1 - Occurs when pinging the gateway (https://<LB_HOST>:<port>/PSIGW/PeopleSoftListeningConnector)

The connection for this site is not secure

domain - use an unsupported protocol

 

Steps to replicate:

------------------------

1. Set up an LB in front of the IB physical gateways.

2. Log into PIA, and navigate to the IB gateway page and open the Local gateway (Navigation: PeopleTools > Integration Broker > Configuration > Integration Gateways).

3. Press the "Ping Gateway" button, and observe the errors in Error #1 above.
