Last updated on APRIL 30, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Benefits Administration - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Passive Events are being prepared for employees attaining 36 months of service. At that point, employees should move from a Life Insurance Plan providing one times salary of coverage to a plan that provides two times salary, but the Benefits Administration Event is processing to Finalized - Prep None and completely terminating the employees' enrollment in this Life Insurance Plan Type.
.
Steps to reproduce the issue:

     1. Run Benefits Administration to schedule and process Passive Events (Navigation: Benefits > Manage Automated Enrollment > Events > Run Automated Event Processing).
     2. Review the status of these Events (Navigation: Benefits > Manage Automated Enrollment > Events > Update Event Status).
     3. Check employee's enrollment in the Life Insurance Plans (Navigation: Benefits > Enroll in Benefits > Life and AD/D Benefits).
     4. See that the employee's prior enrollment is terminated and he/she is not enrolled in a new plan.
