'Calc EFC' Button on Correct 2023-2024 ISIR Records Fails to Calculate EFC in Every Instance - There is no Error Displayed but Prorated EFC and Other Calculated Values Remain Unchanged (Doc ID 2904607.1)

Last updated on APRIL 19, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When clicking the 'Calc EFC' button from the Correct 2023-2024 ISIR Records component for any/all records, the process does not calculate the EFC, as indicated by the prorated efc remaining unchanged, along with other related computational fields, such as the three 'Calculated' fields in the lower right corner of the EFC Information Box on the EFC\DB Matches\Corr tab. There is no specific error displayed on the page - or in the output file, if one is produced -  indicating why the process didn't work.

The calculation works if invoked using the 'Calc EFC' button on the Simulate 2023-2024 FM component.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > Federal Application Data > Correct 2023-2024 ISIR Records, for any student.
  2. Click 'Calc EFC' button.
  3. Note that the process seems to run with no error displayed but the calculation was not performed - indicated by none of the values changing on the EFC\DB Matches\Corr tab.

The issue is seen after applying the 2023-2024 AID YEAR UPDATES FOR ISIR - either from the original (PRP) Patch 33234548, or CS 9.2 PUM Image 27.
