Last updated on JANUARY 25, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Financial Aid - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In a Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) environment, when attempting to run the Mass EFC Calculation process, with the Clear Calc Requests Parameter set to 'Y', the process ends in 'No Success' with the following error message (or similar) displayed in the AE_SFA_NAC_PDRM .stdout file.

The issue is not seen on other database platforms or if the Clear Calc Requests parameter is set to 'N' before running the process.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid --> File Management --> Mass EFC Calculation.
  2. Enter parameters 2024, calculation type F, Clear Calc Requests Y, and run the process.
  3. Click link to Process Monitor and note when the process instance ends in 'No Success' status.
  4. Click 'Details' link for the instance, then the link that says 'View Log/Trace', then the .stdout file in the file list and note the error displayed.

Changes

The issue occurs after applying the 2023-2024 AID YEAR UPDATES FOR ISIR, delivered originally in (PRP) Patch 33234548 and now in the latest CS 9.2 PUM Image starting with Image 27.
