EPY: CAN: PAY105CN SQR - Create ROE Web Export File Contains Too Many Pay Periods (Doc ID 2905891.1)

Last updated on APRIL 15, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Payroll for North America - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

PAY105CN is producing a ROE file with too many pay periods included.

We expect 27 pay periods but end up with 45 pay periods. This occurs when an employee is terminated and then rehired more than 1 week later and has future earnings past the ROE data.

The issue can be reproduced in demo with the following steps:

1. Process 27 pay periods for your bi-weekly payroll before the employee is terminated
2. Go to JOB Data and termed the employee effective 01/30/2022 - Workforce Administration>Job Information>Job Data
3. Go back to JOB Data and inserted a row effective 03/27/2022 as a rehire
4. Run a couple of pay periods after the employee was rehired
5. Run PAY124CN to create the ROE Data between 01/01/2022 to 03/01/2022 - Payroll for North America>Periodic Payroll Events CAN>Record of Employment>Create Mass ROE Data
6. Go to ROE Data and change the ROE Date to 01/30/2022 and process to “Generate” - Payroll for North America>Periodic Payroll Events CAN>Record of Employment>Update ROE Data
7. Ran the PAY105CN and verified that the pay periods is greater than 27 - Payroll for North America>Periodic Payroll Events CAN>Record of Employment>Create ROE Web Export File
