Students Are Able To Enroll in the Same Course with Two Different Course Offering Numbers (Doc ID 2908132.1)

Symptoms

Students are able to enroll in two offerings for the same course. Students are not prevented from enrolling in the course which is offered under two different course offering numbers (i.e.cross-listed).

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Add a new offering for existing Course. Navigation: Curriculum Management > Course Catalog > Course Catalog > Offerings.
  2. Schedule both classes. Navigation: Curriculum Management > Schedule of Classes > Maintain Schedule of Classes.
  3. Term Activate Student. Navigation: Records and Enrollment > Student Term Information > Term Activate a Student > Term Activation.
  4. Go to Self-Service Student Center.
  5. Enroll in first offering Class ID.
  6. Enroll in second offering Class ID.
