ELM 9.2: Message POSITION_SYNC.VERSION_1 Status is Done, But Receiving an Error Message: More Instances of LM_POSITION_SYNC were Found than can be Returned (Doc ID 2911078.1)

Symptoms

In the HCM environment, message POSITION_SYNC.VERSION_1 status is Done, but receiving an error message integrated with the ELM environment and no data populated to the LM_POSITION table in the ELM environment.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following step up:


1. In HCM environment, service operation POSITION_SYNC is active with a Routing integrated with ELM environment as below:

External Alias = POSITION_SYNC.VERSION_2
Message.Ver into Transform 1 = POSITION_SYNC.VERSION_2
Transform Program 1 = HCM_MSG_XFRM
Message.Ver out of Transforms = POSITION_SYNC.VERSION_2
 

2. In ELM environment, service operation POSITION_SYNC is active with a Routing integrated with HCM environment as below.

External Alias = POSITION_SYNC.VERSION_2
Message.Ver into Transform 1 =
Transform Program 1 =
Message.Ver out of Transforms =
 
3. In HCM environment, navigate to Workforce Administrator > Position Management > Manage Position
4. {search/select} a Position and add a new row with a effective Date and with change to a field, then {click} Submit button
5. navigate to Peopletools > Integration Broker > Monitor Asynchronous Services, from Publish contracts tab search for Service Operation POSITION_SYNC
  and {click} Details link to review the Publish Contracts section
6. then for the ELM Node, {click} View Error/Info link to see the error message
