Symptoms

Balance of Net Pay Direct Deposit distributions with priority other than 999

We have historically used a priority of 90 for our Balance of Net Pay Direct Deposit distributions.

There was a bug 34519770 that added validation for the priorities, specifically requiring Balance of Net Pay distributions to have a priority of 999.

Do we need to update our distribution priorities to 999 and if so, is there a delivered process for that?

Will having Balance of Net Pay Direct Deposit distributions with a priority of 90 cause any issues with pay cycles if we don't update them?

ERROR
-----------------------
Priority for Net Pay Balance account must be 999. (2001,1462)

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Enter distribution Deposit Type of “Balance of Net Pay” and Priority other than 999 (ie. 90) in Direct Deposit Data - Payroll for North America > Employee Pay Data USA > Request Direct Deposit > Request Direct Deposit
2. Get error stating that “priority for net pay balance must be 999”
