EGM 9.2: The Drop Zone Group Box Is Incorrectly Defined as Lvl 1 Instead of Lvl 0 on Award Profile (GM_AWARD) Page (Doc ID 2913885.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 12, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Grants - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Online Navigation for Award Profile page - Grants > Awards > Award Profile (GM_AWARD) page. Technically it was observed the Drop Zone was defined incorrectly at level 1 instead of level 0. Due to this, there is a possibility that peoplecode pertaining to a field configured in the dropzone sub-page may get executed multiple times unintendedly.

Replication steps:

  1. Open the GM_AWARD page using the application designer.
  2. Go To the Order tab. Notice that the Drop Zone Group Box is defined at LVL 1 and the expectation is that this needs to be defined at LVL 0.
  3. Because of this, there is a possibility that peoplcode pertaining to a field configured in the dropzone sub-page may get executed multiple times unintendedly. (Example: If a WRK custom field has been placed at the bottom of the page. It will be displayed correctly without any problems. The problem is that the custom peoplecode on the new custom WRK field will be triggered twice or more (depending on how many lines we have a level 1. This is incorrect).
