E-CLOUD: Boot and Block Volume Backups Not Populated When Running cm_backup_restore.sh -o list (Doc ID 2913940.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 08, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Cloud Manager - Version 13 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Cloud Manager (CM) backup using "backup and restore utility" created both Block volume and Boot volume backups successfully in OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) console.

However, when checking the backup list via command line, it is not showing newly created volume backups.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run the backup utility script (cm_backup_restore.sh) to create the backup of the CM instance.
2. Log into OCI console and navigate to: Storage > Block Volume Backups.
3. Confirm that the block volumes exist
4. Log into command line and confirm that the backup volumes are created.
     sh cm_backup_restore.sh -o list
5. Notice that some volume backups that are showing in OCI are not listed when checking it at the command line.
