Generate Accounting Entries (SFPGLINT) Effective Date Processing from the Item Type GL Interface Setup (Doc ID 2913941.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 26, 2024

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Financials - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The GL Interface page on the Item Type component is used to split the amount between different accounts. The Generate Accounting Entries process (SFPGLINT) is run to create accounting lines.

Beginning January 1, there is a business process change that requires new chartfields to be used on the item type. With these changes, the expectation is any impacted charge item type posted prior to January 1, 2023 will use the GL Interface setup in effect for that time. A transaction posted after January 1, 2023 would use new effective dated GL Interface data on the item type.

Currently, one term(0000) is setup on the GL Interface tab.

What is the best way to accommodate these changes?
