E-ExcelToCI/E-CI: Excel Converting a Key With Leading Zeros to a Numeric Value, Resulting in a "No rows exist for the specified keys." Error or an Incorrect Value Inserted Into the Database (Doc ID 2914423.1)

Symptoms

Site is updating vendor information using VNDR_ID_EXCEL, an FSCM delivered Component Interface (CI).
VENDOR_ID, one of the CIs Get keys is a Character data type in PeopleSoft, and contains leading zeros followed by a numeric value (e.g. 0000000005).
When attempting to upload the data, the following error is seen in the ExcelToCI spreadsheet.
 

 

Sample Environment:

PeopleTools (PT) 8.58.10
FSCM 9.20 PUM 39


Steps To Replicate:

1. Open the ExcelToCI spreadsheet, and click on the Data Input tab.
2. Copy/paste test data from another Excel spreadsheet, and ensure VENDOR_ID key value is a valid Get key value, and contains leading zeros (e.g. 0000000005).
3. Press the Submit Data button, enter the user credentials, and observe the error above.
