Symptoms
It has been detected that the Credit Card Upload process (EX_DATA_LOAD AE Program) registers a message into the Message Log reporting an Invalid Decimal Value around the Airline Receipt Number field (AIRFARE_RCPT_NBR).
This is due to the fact that File Layout EX_MC_5000_2_FLO defined Field MC_TICKET_NBR as a Field Type of Number, while some Airlines have their Ticket Numbers as an alphanumeric value (both numbers and letters).
This seems to take place on all Credit Card Suppliers (MasterCard, Visa, and American Express).
REPLICATION STEPS:
1.- Receive from the Bank an electronic flat file with a MasterCard Credit Card Transaction containing Airline Ticket Information, with a Ticket Number in alphanumeric value (Example: ABC123)
2.- Place the flat file into the shared Temp Folder to be able to get uploaded
3.- Log into the FSCM Online Application as an Expenses User
4.- Navigate to: Travel and Expenses > Corporate Credit Cards > Load External Data Sources
5.- Create a new Run Control ID, and define all needed criteria such as Data Source MasterCard, the file name, and its folder path
6.- Launch the Credit Card Upload process (EX_DATA_LOAD AE Program)
7.- Navigate to: PeopleTools > Process Scheduler > Process Monitor
8.- Find the Process Instance of EX-DATA_LOAD AE Program, and confirm that it ended in Success
9.- Click on the Details link of that Process Instance
10.- Click on the Message Log link
11.- ISSUE: Confirm the Message registered with an Invalid Decimal Value
